Our Senior Adult Ministry
The Heart of Calvary
At Calvary, our senior adults truly are the heart of our church family—bringing wisdom, faith, and a spirit of connection that strengthens us all. Led by Robert and Carol Leatherwood, this vibrant ministry offers meaningful opportunities for fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth.
One of the highlights of the month is “Young at Heart,” a monthly lunch led by our secretary, Dwana McGowen. Held every third Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., this event is a wonderful time to connect, laugh, and enjoy fellowship around the table.
Our seniors also have a powerful outreach through the Calvary Love Ministry, led by Joyce Felton. Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month, this group faithfully serves our church’s shut-ins—calling, writing, and praying for those who cannot attend in person, ensuring they remain connected and cared for.
Through every gathering, conversation, and act of service, our senior adult ministry continues to make a lasting impact—reminding us all that fellowship, faith, and love grow stronger with time.
